About Baluzini
I am a small handmade toy studio with a soft spot for miniatures and fine detail. I work from Portugal, among threads, natural fabrics, and many hours of hand sewing.
The name “Baluzini” follows the idea of something delicate but full of character — pieces meant to last, to be passed down, or simply to brighten the day for anyone who loves small-scale worlds.
How I work
I usually start with a sketch and fabrics that feel honest to the touch. Then come prototypes, proportion tweaks, and the moment each little face finds its expression — that is when the piece feels alive to me.
There is no mass production: each release takes the time it needs. I would rather offer a few well-made pieces than many identical ones without heart.
Materials & care
I use mostly cotton and linen, with hypoallergenic toy-safe fillings. Care notes travel with every order so you can keep your mouse looking lovely for years.
